THE SAVING JAKE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME SAM THURAU INTO THE FAMILY! Sam has played in numerous bands over the years and most recently played with Spirit Lost. Sam is an excellent drummer and a great fit for the band. So come on out to a show and welcome Sam and Madison to the family! Saving Jake is now comprised of four seasoned musicians who have a passion for having fun and playing good music. Lead Vocalist and guitar player, James Musselman has been playing in bands for over 17 years now and has played just about every instrument from guitars to drums. James has played in Velosity, Driven, and Driven Reincarnated. Josh Michael plays bass guitar, guitar, and does backing vocals and has played in numerous bands but most notably Driven and Driven reincarnated. Jordan Ferraro plays guitar and does backing vocals and has played in numerous bands but most notably Driven reincarnated, and The Busted Drunks. Newest addition Sam Thurau plays Drums and has been playing in numerous bands in the area for years. Saving Jake started out as a weekly jam session between friends and we thought why not go out and share the fun with everyone else. So if you are looking for a fun time then come out and check out Saving Jake at one of our shows and I'm sure you will have a good time. JIM PRICE RECAP 6/28/10 The music was nearly constant during Day of Rock, thanks to acoustic performers Saving Jake, who played mini-sets while the electric bands were switching out equipment and setting up gear. Featuring former Driven singer James Musselman on lead vocals and guitar, and Josh Michaels on guitar; plus Jordan Ferraro on guitar and vocals, Saving Jake did nice work on acoustic treatments of Puddle Of Mudd's Drift and Die, Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues, Lynyrd Skynyrds Simple Man. Saving Jake again provided music during the gear changeover; this time doing songs from Poison, Violent Femmes, Social Distortion, Sublime and Guns N Roses. Again they sounded good, convincing me that I will have to take in one of their full sets some night in the near future.
